On August 27, 2022, we made a reservation for the 1 PM time slot. The afternoon slots appear to be quite popular, as the 2 PM slot was fully booked a week in advance. Viljoensdrift is a beautiful location—peaceful yet vibrant, and I can only imagine it gets busier during the summer. The deli is well-stocked, and for wine enthusiasts, their impressive wine selection is definitely worth noting. They also offer wine tastings, which seemed to be a big hit, especially among those waiting for their river cruise. The meals are expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. The river cruise itself is fantastic, and it's a perfect option for those looking to celebrate with a picnic. You can pick up carrots and other goodies from the deli to enjoy before your cruise.

Make sure to take the trip and book a stop at the crossroads! We picked up some delightful deli items before setting sail, which allowed us to enjoy a lovely picnic during our cruise, paired with excellent wine from the abbey. Our skipper was fantastic, always ensuring that we felt comfortable and safe throughout the journey.

The river cruise was a wonderful experience. The deli is well-stocked with snacks and drinks, perfect for enjoying a mini picnic during the cruise.

Burger with made to house pattie was divine. Don't miss them.
