My husband and I have been eating at Savia since 2015 when we were living in Villa de Leyva. We now live in Barichara but every time we visit Villa de Leyva we make our way to Savia to enjoy meals that are always prepared with care and are not only tasty but also nutritious, using fresh organic herbs and vegetables. We have tried almost option on the menu and our favourites are arroz arco iris, ensalada savia, sopa de miso, all the pastas, the various juices and limonadas and the ginger tea, Olga's wine selection is awesome, with some nice Chilean carmeneres and Sauvignon Blancs. The young servers are patient and gracious. Reservations are a good idea in high season!
We went in a busy day. It took 45 minutes for the dishes to arrive. My pasta was overcooked and without salt.
The location is wonderful and very atmospheric. Make sure you find it, it's tucked away st the main square.Vegan items are labeled clearly and the food is simple but good. We had a plantain soup, a salad and a rice dish, which were all very satisfying. Also the home made lemonade is delicious. But given that my salad was literally greens and veggies with vinager and oil and no special flavours or ingredients, i found 18000 cop a lot of money.
A good choice for a healthy meal. The service is very good too! They offer soups, salads, main dishes with chicken or seafood and few desserts.
