Having seen the reccomendation here on trip advisor my partner and I went to Ali baba for a small dinner. Although located directly on the main street the food was better than main stream, very good indeed.
Small restaurant with arabian food. It' ok even if nothing exciting. In general the location is clean and the service good. It's my second time here and I'll return again when I'll be in this area again.
Our last night in town, we walked by an enthusiastic girl named Mercedes who cheerfully invited us into her restaurant. The decor of the restaurant and her bright personally matched as they lit up our evening. She entertained all of us as she showed us the different varieties of pisco infusions they had. If I lived here I would come often. Mercedes reminds me of my old store director when I worked at a clothing store in college, who was one of my favorite bosses ever. Great restaurant!
Ate here as it was convenient to our hotel and not much expected. We were very surprised how good this place is. The menu offers both Middle Eastern cuisine and traditional Peruvian dishes, all at affordable prices. The owner and his staff are incredibly friendly. We were helped by the owner and he's a really nice guy. Going, fun, really just wants to make sure you're happy. The food was wonderfully prepared and done so quickly. I have a few different desserts to go and while everything was good, the baklava was the hit. I wish them the best, because Covid has hit the restaurants in Lima pretty hard. Make yourself a favor and give this place your business... it's worth it.
