Cj's Coffee House Tearoom - Villa Hayes

I am thrilled that I chose this restaurant for my first afternoon tea experience. My mother and I were served generous portions of various cakes and sandwiches, accompanied by a delightful selection of sauces and a teapot for our tea. As I mentioned that it was my 31st birthday the day before, they even added a lit candle to our table, which was a lovely gesture (fortunately they did not sing the birthday song, but everything else was wonderful). I will definitely be returning in the future as this place surpasses all other chain cafes.

I made a reservation for afternoon tea and I couldn't have been happier with the entire experience! The cakes were delicious, the sandwiches were wonderful, the scones were huge, and the berries were really tasty. The drinks were also top-notch. The service was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The atmosphere was warm, clean, cheerful, and cozy, with beautiful art on the walls. The value for money was great, one of the best priced afternoon teas I've had. They even packed up the few leftover cakes for us to take home. The communication leading up to our reservation was fantastic, with a friendly and prompt response to our booking request. When we had to change our reservation last minute due to illness, they were incredibly accommodating and even sent us home with a lovely afternoon tea for my wife who couldn't make it. It was such a thoughtful gesture. While enjoying our afternoon tea, I couldn't help but notice how amazing the meals on other tables looked - especially the breakfast options.

We decided to have lunch at this restaurant after not visiting in a while, and we are so glad we did. Alison greeted us warmly and quickly set up a table for us that had just been vacated by previous customers. The food came out promptly after we placed our orders and was extremely delicious, beautifully presented, and great value for money. The flat white coffee I ordered was the best I've ever had. Ben and Alison were always friendly and made time to chat with us in between taking and delivering orders. The community of Penketh is fortunate to have this coffee shop right on their doorstep.

Fantastic breakfast. I asked for well-made speck, perfect. only place to improve was butter / brot on toast.

Visited this morning with my wife and baby, gorgeous food! The sausages were so good my baby ate them and he never wants to have sausages! Very plesent and outgoing owners, couldn't of asked for a better morning there. We enjoyed it that much we bought a voucher for afternoon tea for my aunties birthday. We will Definitely be returning again, thankyou.
