Contribuisci feedbackI took the opportunity to go and Flux myself and also my wife and 2 kids at this fantastic Fluxing coffee joint. The black coffee was soo good it put hair in places I never had before! Also the small little pastry tarts kept my kids fed while they dropped enough crumbs in the floor to feed an entire small village in a 3rd world country!Id say its an absolute Fluxing mistake if you haven't been yet.
I’ve been wanting to check this place out to go work from, as it’s been rated well and not far from home. Went today for first time and I enjoyed the atmosphere, had a matcha iced tea with tamarind syrup (had them add milk to make it a bit creamy as it was more on the sour watery side than what I’m used to for matcha); my partner had an iced coffee. I will definitely return as I really would like to try their regular coffee, the place smelled amazing!!! They sell coffee bags there too, which would be kool to make at home if you’ve tried and loved the taste of their coffee. Reminded me of Gossip Coffee in Astoria. The great thing is they have plenty of outlets, pretty much at every single and double seating space. The tables for 4 in the middle of the cafe are the only ones without outlets. It was a bit chilly when we went today, as the back door was open to the outdoor seating, would’ve preferred it closed especially in 45-50 degree weather still. It’s nice to have that extra space out there though, esp when the weather gets warmer, definitely a plus. It faces the parking lot.The cafe overall is cozy and chill, great place to work, light a bit dim, cute decor, more of a rustic industrial feel which is my cup of tea. My partner felt like the seating was uncomfortable and hard, esp if going to be there for a couple hours to work like we were but otherwise, great place to check out and unwind at, over coffee or with a friend, to read, catch up on work, or just work from for the day. Today they were playing some hip hop music in the background, not sure if that’s the case always. They have some baked goods there to munch which we didn’t try, but maybe next time. Would return!
This place is legit. I’ve tried pretty much everything from the pourovers to the cold brew, seasonal drinks etc and have never been disappointed. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of coffee and were really kind in helping me pick out equipment to start making pourovers at home. They patiently answered my questions about the process as well. If coffee is your thing, you need to make a trip here. It’s also a really nice space with lots of seating. I miss Flux when I’m not on Long Island!
If I had to give this place an award I would give it The World 's Ok-est Coffee. Pretty much everything about it was simply that. Got a cold brew the first time, was extremely ok. Went the next day for my morning hot coffee, was told one option was a light roast that was a medium-almost dark at best and was yet again extremely ok. Better coffee than 99% of the shops on LI but nothing special at all. I also wouldn 't drive into that part of town if there was a better coffee shop closer to Seaford, it 's always crazy busy.
Cant wait for Flux Coffee!!!!Update 7 years later.Flux is home. It’s the home to first dates, business deals, work success, private events, intimate after parties, animal interactions, master creativity and a certain experience that leave patrons curious about its ability to be, that damn good. Keep going Arsalan and team. Onto something since day one.
