We ordered the ribs for two, which includes a full rack of ribs along with four sides of our choice and two pieces of cornbread. We opted for two servings of mac and cheese, fries, and mashed potatoes with gravy. The ribs were excellent, whether enjoyed on their own or with the original BBQ sauce. My friend really enjoyed her mac and cheese, but I found the spices a bit too much for my taste. I thought the mashed potatoes and gravy were really good, though my friend wasn’t a fan of the gravy. The fries were also fantastic—perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and lightly seasoned. The cornbread was great too; it had a nice flavor, was moist, and thankfully, didn't have any bits of corn in it (apologies if that's your thing). There was so much food that we couldn't finish it all. At $39, we thought it was a great deal!
We waited half an hour, but it was definitely worth it! We ordered the ribs and brisket, and they were incredibly tender. The mac and cheese was delicious—definitely a must-try! The deviled eggs were decent, a bit on the firm side with a strong flavor, but if that's your preference, you'll really enjoy them. Overall, it was a good experience!
My fiancée and I visited Syracuse for the first time over the weekend and were recommended this restaurant. We were not disappointed! We had to wait an hour to be seated, but that’s because the place is popular and bustling. It was definitely worth the wait! Our waitress, Lisa, was friendly and helpful, despite being quite busy. Our food was prepared quickly, fresh, and hot, and it tasted absolutely amazing. Kudos to the chefs! I highly recommend dining here if you're in the area!
Excellent to find in this city. Came for a stop overnight and sought a place for lunch found this place and loved it. All the items we ordered were delicious, good portions and very well presented. Had the family dinner and we all liked it. Brisket was not too fat, but was tender, ribs were on point, chicken has the right smoke, beans we are not too sweet that we enjoyed, fries were crispy, Cole was slow not sweet, which was a good surprise. Everything we liked. Will be back.
Great local BBQ place. The manager told us it was the original restaurant with more in New York State. Evan was our server and had great suggestions and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the spicy deviled eggs not too spicy, just enough for a kick. Then we split the two meat combo dinner. Picked pulled pork and the brisket. Brisket came with jalapeños. Jalapeños were large slices and easy to either cut up or ignore. We picked baked beans and Mac and cheese for our sides. Delicious!!! According to the manager the name came from the man who started the restaurant whose name was Dino and kind of old so the Dinosaur name fit. Parking might be an issue. We got lucky and found a metered spot on the street.
