Hotel Karaikal Chettinad - Villapurum

This place is one of the many restaurants among some others in a row and is located near the toll and crossings. we stayed here on the way from chennai to kodaikanal. a good place with clean toilets and both ac and not...ac facilities. the ac area was full. the not ac section was spacious and well ventilated, although warm. as a group we had enough space, although it was a busy day. the vegetarian meals are great and delicious. there are no meals available. biryani is a bit sharp, so this is something to see how it can make the entire meal a waste. the chicken and fish fingers were good and so was the hammelleber. Kulfi pots are available as dessert. outside the restaurant there is a tea shop serving cool sweet beeda. a thing to see are the very friendly people who are happy to chat and sell.

I have commanded mutton biraiyani not cooked well in this mutton, I can't even bite it. so hard and I ask the staff then he gave me some mutton piece, which is not well cooked and in rugged some bad odour waste of money. and health to personal are not good, no taste so better take care of the health

I tried the Nati Kodi Chettinad curry along with some other dishes at this restaurant. The ambiance of the place is impressive and the staff is very friendly. The food is delicious, especially the authentic Chettinad cuisine.

This is a branch of the original Karikal hotel in Pondicherry. I have been to both the places and the food is great. The one in Pondycherry is almost 40 years old. The ambiance in this hotel is much better. I think its about a couple of years old. Coming to the food you get all the Chettinad favorites. The Mutton Paya, The nethili fry are all good. Its on the highway from Chennai to Trichy - Salem Highway. Very convenient location.

This restaurant is located near Sengurichi toll plaza. Stopped here for lunch. Ordered Chicken Biriyani and Chicken 65. Both were tasty. Ample parking and neat rest rooms. There are a few veg restaurants nearby too
