Auberge Des Montauds - Villard-de-Lans

We left 1 message on Saturday 12 August 2023 at 12:00 to book 1 table for the next day at noon. We are on Tuesday, August 15th and we have never been called back. Fortunately there are other restaurants around Grenoble..... It's been over 20 years since we're going to eat regularly in this hostel and well it's over!!! Farewell inn of the Montauds

Friendly welcome, average room, smell a little unpleasant in the sdb with presence of small black flies (like in the campsites' communes). Okay. Quiet night, no sound nuisance. Simplistic breakfast, defrosted bread and dry pastries. Coffee bof. There is a lack of locally developed products. Ideal frame for rest and quiet, suitable for walks around the corner.

We've known the Montauds for 40 years... We wanted to hold a room several times, but no one answers the phone. Whatever time of appeal. Same to book a table... Always the same answering machine that promises to be recalled. No success. Or, and that’s the comb, we pick up and we’re hanging on your nose! The ringing of the phone must fatigue the new managers.... Change trade then !!! What a waste! It was so much once, from the time of Marthe....

Thanks to the waitress for her kindness but we are disappointed by the quantities served. Chicken with ceps was good but just a pilon in a menu at 28€ I find it light. When she was served alone in her plate with just 2 spoons of gratin in a small pan next to it. The impression of not having for his money even if it was good
