They offer all the classic breakfast and lunch options at reasonable prices. (For reference, a dozen eggs on the market typically costs around $2, depending on size and location.) The potatoes were genuinely seasoned, which is a pleasant change from many places that simply brown sliced potatoes without adding any spices. My wife ordered the breakfast crepe with fruit filling and thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is wheelchair-friendly, although I'm unsure if the restrooms would accommodate someone in a wheelchair due to the narrow hallway.

If you're not a fan of large crowds, you might want to skip breakfast on Sunday mornings! That said, the food is quite good—typical diner fare. While the prices are slightly higher than average, I believe they offer great value! The service is usually fast, accurate, and friendly, which enhances the experience. Overall, I highly recommend Mel's for breakfast, brunch, or lunch if you find yourself in the area!

Everything I had was fantastic! The chocolate waffle was incredible! The spinach and feta omelette was also very delicious. They offer a wide variety of choices, and breakfast truly shines here. There are many unique items that you won't find in other places, like the chocolate waffle, pumpkin waffle, and stuffed French toast. The selection is definitely different, but in a good way—not in a weird way, haha!

One of the best places I was in Cape May to get a breakfast. (I didn't eat here, but I imagine it's so good) the staff is pleasant and welcoming and food comes quickly. Good filling and great coffee!

Great breakfast with quality service. Family owned and operated, and they were extremely pleasant to dine with. Plus, our niece enjoyed the crayons and coloring book they gave her!
