Contribuisci feedbackThe bark was too charred, and the burnt ends were somewhat dry. However, the tickets were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the interior of the restaurant was quite unclean. The floors were sticky and grimy, and there were flies buzzing around, especially near the back room. To make matters worse, the cook answered the phone while still wearing plastic gloves from cooking. I won’t be returning.
We ordered two main dishes and two kids' meals, only to find that the children's plates had more food than ours. The smoked chicken was overcooked and lacked any hint of smoke flavor. The pulled pork tasted like something straight from the refrigerated meat section. The side of mac and cheese was tiny, with cold noodles and a clump of insufficiently melted cheese. The collard greens had a flavor reminiscent of dishwater, and the hush puppies were so dense they felt like fried tennis balls. Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I have no intention of returning. I would recommend steering clear of this restaurant.
Had previously fried chicken, burned on the outside and in the middle raw, it had to throw away. Burnt-ends were good here once and they were chewing. eating is inconsistent.
We ordered hush puppies, a brisket cheese steak, and fried ribs. The hush puppies were incredibly tasty and melted in your mouth, and they came with a delicious sauce, although they were quite filling on their own. The brisket cheese steak was not very visually appealing, but it didn't disappoint in flavor. The baked ribs were good and tasted even better when paired with the hush puppy sauce. The staff behind the counter were very helpful and offered great suggestions. They were super friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back!
THE REAL DEAL. Had ribs, brisket, beer bottle chicken. There is not a vegetable in sight, but who cares. Whoops, I forgot about the deep fried niblits and pickles- they are vegetables after all. Save room for the deep fried twinkie dessert. This is a little shack like spot tucked off a main thoroughfare surrounded by huge chunks of firewood. Plan to do takeout, not eat there. Extra napkins , please.
