The perfect and attentive welcome. the frame combines both the Alsatian charm and medieval memory. we do not regret our choice to come despite negative comments, which suggests that our own experience and feeling passes before the judgment of others. after the meal a visit to the streets of ville allows to digest and walk in this beautiful little town.
Very good value for money. The boss did everything to satisfy us. very pleasant reception. medieval setting of the room deserves the detour.
Reading all the recent reviews make one wonder why we chose this restaurant...truth is everywhere else was closed and we arrived very late for lunch. So first the pluses: Service and welcome were nice and attentive throughout so hard to fault the service. Negatives: The food was pretty basic and pretty ordinary while inexpensive. The vegetable soup was OK but just that, the turkey cordonbleu could have been store bought but hard to tell, the vegetables colourless massively overcooked and inedible, the fries cooked in old oil had a dodgy flavour, dessert a black forest cake was pretty heavy and probably not so fresh. All up not a great mean and barely average. Given another open restaurant we'd have gone elsewhere.
Great selection of meats, spit roasted or grilled, and some nice wine. We had a T-bone for 2 people which was a huge T-bone really nicely cooked and then carved by the chef at the table. Very nice!
