Le Moulin de Madame

A high standard of the kitchen served expertly and tasty, what an experience, we will be back.

The rooms were beautifully presented, but the entrance hall had a hauch of drains. great view from the restaurant, but only the breakfast standard continental price. spa needed a good clean and treatment rooms closed felt unloved. many hand towels.

A long journey was reached through the ambiente I needed at that time. the prospect is amazing and during the reception in the bar was a little surprising, the stay met the brand for us because of the environment! will be back

The restaurant really enjoyed it. good well presented eating and excellent service. what a beautiful surprise. we will return.

I gather this restaurant has had some ups and downs since opening with several chefs passing through hence the mixed reviews, the current chef is establishing this restaurant at a higher level and I hope he stays for the restaurants sake. The good points first,...the ingredients were all of a very high standard, the cooking was also top notch, I have eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants and they have been no better, and the wine list is good value, the room is as good as they get with wonderful views down the River Lot and the tables are in no way cramped, and it is by current standards very good value. The slight grumbles, the menu is short to the point of it being difficult if you don't like fish for example to find more than one alternative for a starter, the wine list despite being quite well put together is also short, so much so that on our second night with two first choices either out of stock or finished there was little to replace with left on the list, but these issues can be easily and should be resolved making this a come to restaurant in the area, the service whilst very good was also a bit slow on one night, but these minor teething troubles as I think they are should not stop you visiting this restaurant and it makes staying at this hotel a very pleasant experience
