Baja Coffee Co - Virginia Beach

We were genuinely impressed with our experience this evening! Our waitress was attentive, informative, and friendly. Despite the restaurant being packed, our food arrived surprisingly quickly. The She Crab Soup and Seafood Au Gratin were outstanding! The pasta was loaded with shrimp, scallops, and crab meat. It was so delicious that my husband wanted to thank the chef personally and let him know he was doing a fantastic job—something he has never done before! This is our first visit to the Sandbridge area, and we are thoroughly impressed with Baja. It will definitely be a must-stop whenever we return to the area.

There was no wait to be seated at this restaurant. It's important to note that they are only open after 5 PM. The wait staff was very pleasant, friendly, and attentively mindful of our needs. The food for our group was overall quite good. My wife chose the 10 oz sirloin, our niece ordered the crab cakes, and I went with the grilled chicken wrap. Our niece's dish was spot on. However, my wife's steak was cooked almost well done when she had ordered it medium, and the chicken in my wrap was a bit dry and tough in some areas. While our experience was generally positive, the food could use a little more attention. We dined outside, which provided a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. I hope the food issues we encountered were just a one-time occurrence.

Enjoy beautiful sunsets at this restaurant, which offers multiple bar options both inside and outside. You can choose to dine indoors or outdoors. The burgers and sandwiches are delicious and generously sized. The she crab soup is creamy and filled with chunks of crab, making it a must-try. Since it's early in the season, the staff is still learning, so your patience would be appreciated. We have enjoyed both dining in and taking out.

I have been to Baja many times for both breakfast and dinner. The staff is always friendly and very helpful— especially Sommer who is always smiling and going above and beyond to make my experience enjoyable. I have never had a bad experience with the food as it is ALWAYS mouthwatering and served in a timely manner. Wait times for dinner depend on the season but I have never had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes which is very reasonable. At dinner time there is frequently live entertainment that never disappoints— catch them on a DJ night if you can!! During the day they host shopping pop-ups which have the cutest beach decor and mermaid hair (if you don’t know what this is I highly suggest you check it out) Overall I HIGHLY recommend coming for the atmosphere, food, and staff!

Great location! During our week stay in the area in Mid August 2021, we had two dinners, morning coffee and ordered pizza. All of the food was amazing, my favorite was the She-Crab Fries and the AMAZING Polynesian Bowl with Steak. We had about an hour wait the first night, but we had 9 people as well. The second night we were seated as we arrived. Service was really fast and food was hot. I was really impressed by this, it seems the Sandbridge area is really hit hard with the nation wide employment shortage, but service here was fantastic. Only two negative keeping this from a 5 star review, they don't offer any reservations or allow you to join a wait list by phone/virtual. And in order to get pizza for takeout, you must physically go there and order/wait from the bar. They don't allow phone orders or allow you to order anything else of the menu. I found that very weird and limiting in terms of potential sales.
