I was very underwhelmed with my teller. serving three small offers, as very small, was not hot. the sweet tee was blanching. I asked about the season offered and she said they weren't seasonal complaining????????? I'm curious what the court is that they are famous for that brings into the crowd. I miss something. I also know I don't have a honey butter.
Ok- let me first say that I love in the regel bakers crust, but it's something about the Hilltop sites and I won't return soon. here is my experience: it was a very hot day so that they have no problem to serve anyone on the terrace. I order my food at the bar and just eat it on the terrace. there was a swarm flying at the bar. not only one or two, but an excessive amount of fly. there were two bartenders, none of whom had addressed me for a few minutes, as I stood there and saw me lost. Finally I asked if someone could take my order. a young lady said she could. after she took my order, she gave me the machine and told me "a top" first. I'm insulted. I'm gonna tip. it will never be someone who can say that I don't type well, and I don't need to remember drinking money. I did not answer, but I looked at her and went on to pay for my meal. that was out of control. she gave me no instructions to get my food or if I was to wait outside, I asked her. she said it would take 10-15 minutes. 15 minutes pass and no one has my food. I look up and the bartender who asked for the tipp went for the day. I asked about my eating and she said, "I don't know, go and ask." at this point I'm in vain, but. I'm going to another young lady in the back, getting a togo bag and handing it over to me. when I get it, my food is not properly prepared. I ordered the Charleston chicken and avocado. the brote came from sandwich. the sandwich was very sloppily made literally thrown together it was lacking speck and a side of the huh was rubbery that made me think it was understated. the Tavern chips were good, but there were no complaints. but I spent $25 that I can't come back and I was so disgusting when I went. so- if they like baker crust, try landstown or norfolk for better service and eat. hilltop is always a gloomy for me, and if you have ever seen bar rescue, they will turn on the bar of your lily.
Great place for trying some of the local craft beers. We really liked the beer, wine and champagne taps along the back wall of the bar. Menu is not very vegetarian friendly, but there are some items available. Portion sizes are good too. Good atmosphere.
Stellar service!!Went alone for a late brunch recharge. Buttermilk tenders were cooked perfectly but not seasoned enough for my palette. I get they may not want flavors to contradict, but a firm believer that each food should stand on it's own. Waffle was perfectly done and the honey butter was to die for!
Usually I don't do reviews on places unless it's terrible. I am so impressed with today's visit that I just had to post about it. First timer here, walking into the place you are immediately greeted with a smile. We had Kelsey as our waitress and she was training a new employee. Service was absolutely amazing. She was very attentive, helpful and friendly. We also had the manager Adam walk over and greeted us with a sample platter since it was my first time there. He was very sweet as well. All the food was delicious. I got the bacon burger and oh my goodness it was one of the best burgers I have had. You guys are rockstars and I can't wait to come back!
