Five Guys - Virginia Beach

Five guys always makes excellent burgers and this is probably one of my favorite locations in the US. I've been eating at their stores around the country for a decade. This store in particular always delivers an excellent burger, perfectly cooked fries and the best five guys experience you could hope for.

Burger was good but greasy and so were the fries, I get it that there is an obvious addition to the bag when giving you fries but this is where it was unappealing to me. The grease stains left soaking through the bag leave you taking soggy fries with you to eat later. I felt the fries were a bit dark and overcooked even with the confirmed burnt ends, the cooking oils and stains were a bit much and left me regretting my choice for such an unhealthy meal to try. I did have a milkshake that was delicious and no issues and the staff were super friendly and helpful when I ordered.

The food was excellent, and the service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, there was a strong odor of wastewater near the bathroom area, which was quite unpleasant. I hope this issue has been addressed.

I would rate the taste a solid 5 stars because it was truly top-notch. However, it's still just meat. I ordered 2 burgers, 1 fry, 2 regular sodas, and 1 milkshake, and it came to nearly $60. That's a bit steep. I can get 2 dinners at other places for $50 and still have leftovers to take home. I don't think I'll be returning.

You know how Five Guys is. It is a steep price, but the quality is 100% there. The burger was phenomenal and the pommes were overloaded and very tasty. Clean location and friendly staff. Would it eat every day if it wasn't expensive and if it was healthier. 5/5!
