It is unfortunate to see this place closing down and I hope we get another amazing Malaysian restaurant here in VB.
We went here because of the vegan/vegetarian options. Everything was amazing and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be back
There aren't enough words to truly express my appreciation for this place. Every single time we come, the service the food itself is always showing out 110%. So much flavor, so much comfort. The main dishes we come for is the curry soup, the coconut fried rice and the roti (not pictured . Roti is more of an appetizer. A light and airy bread with a semi doughy texture, but crispy outer layer, paired with their curry for dipping phenomenal. Their curry is spicy, but not too spicy where you can't enjoy it (but really... is there such thing as too spicy?? . Super flavorful, the meat is super tender, and the noodles that come with it is cooked perfectly. The coconut fried rice brought such a refreshing balance to the heaviness of the curry. The coconut flavor isn't overpowering, and the addition of veggies and egg just elevate the rice dish more, giving it that freshness. The portions are very generous, and prices are reasonable. 12/10 would recommend.
Loved the Roti beef in sizzling platter! We didn't love the char kaoy teow but I think that was just our preference and not about their cooking at all. The portions were great and the food was fresh tasting. Very good service and reasonably priced. My husband loved that book full of photos of every dish! We will definitely return!
First time trying this place and we had high hopes but the prices are a bit much for the portions of what you get. Imo it wasn't worth the $80+ spent. I'll start with the good. The Thai Tea and Ipoh Coffee were both refreshing. The Roti Canai was hot, flakey and went so well with the curry dipping sauce which wasn't too spicy. We ordered four different dishes: Char Koay Teow (upper left), salted eggs crispy chicken (upper right), pineapple fried rice, and beef rendang. The Char Koay Teow was pretty good up until I found a hair in the food which disgusted me and ruined the whole dish. The salted eggs crispy chicken was not anything special since the flavor didn't stand out, nor did it taste very good. The beef rendang is over priced and not good. The meat seemed like it was overcooked and dry. Definitely will never come here again and if you are considering coming here, don't it's not worth the money.
