Surf Rider Rest - Virginia Beach

I have to update my review from a few months ago! It seems you took my suggestion and added some seasoning to the fried flounder, because it was perfectly spiced and fried! Absolutely delicious!

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable.

On Sunday night, two couples dined together. I ordered the blackberry smash, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you enjoy blackberry flavor—I couldn’t taste any at all and it seemed like they used spiced rum, giving it an odd taste. My sister ordered the seafood platter, while I had the shrimp (six pieces). I ate three and took the rest home. We both enjoyed a side salad and baked potato, which were quite good. We preferred to sit outside but had to wait for a table to be cleaned. The service was friendly and the food was served hot. The shrimp were excellent and generously sized. Our total bill came to $61 for the two of us.

First out, wonderful interior. We love the look of wood panels. It's very open. The food was good. Customer service was good. The price was average. We look forward to a return.
