Windys Restaurant - Visakhapatnam

If restaurants are rated as per location, this will get a 6* .... placed right opp beach, this good old food joint has seen decades of Vizag. Good place for some snack (manchurian noodles is good) .. but not a great place from experience or ambience stand point !!

Location is incredible. Can't get anything better. And as often is in places which have outstanding locations, the rest of it is a ridiculous disappointment!! The flimsy plastic chairs, poorly trained staff, rusted canopies, mediocre food, nothing works. But again, look at the location!! Isn't a place to go for lunch or dinner. Snacks are ok, and since they don't make the soft drinks, order those ;) If you absolutely want to eat something, try the Manchurian Noodles and Fried Rice. Is decent.

If you go by the looks, you will get disappointed. If you go by the food quality and quantity, you will not be disappointed. I discovered this place while I was looking for something which is not Idly and Dosa during my recent visit To Vizag. A good experience.

Location of the restaurant is strategic with a good beach view and not very much into the beach road. Food tastes good and is good value for money. Hygiene to be watched for. Have a careful look at your plates, spoons and forks before you jump in to eat. They might have traces of oil and food. Always order packaged drinking water at this place with a disposable glass. The chairs and tables need a changeover guys. Windy's, come on ...you guys have been parasites on them and earned a lot all these years. It's time to get new ones. Orders will definitely be delayed as the restaurant is crowded most of the time and be prepared if you r planning to hop in. Finally the place for handwash is not good. You seldom get water from that tap. Get hold of lot of tissues before you start off to avoid issues after.

This place definetely needs some hygeine check. #MajesticChicken was okay. Egg Schezwan fried rice is tasteless (needs more salt). Just a one time try for me.
