Tia Iva - Viseu

Located near the cathedral, in old town of Viseu, excellent cuisine portuguese, fresh products of quality, nice decorated plates, seafood and also meat menus; good wine of the region; perfect and friendly service

I always organize group meals with my friends and family in this restaurant during summer time because the have an outdoor pateo with sun umbrellas. It is right next to the Cathedral of Viseu and the food is delicious. I recommend the codfish with grilled potatoes or the picanha if you're a meat lover. The sangria is fantastic and it's very inexpensive. The starters are also very good, try the alheira or some smoked ham with melon. Very cheap for the quality of the food and service provided. The only inconvenience I see is that if you are having a meal outside, the cars will pass by you as it is right next to the road. Otherwise, great place to eat!

We had a simple lunch of soup, mixed grilled meats or grilled fish, home made flan, wine and coffee. Everything was fresh and well cooked and served with a smile. Lunch without wine was €7.50 each. With wine and coffee, the total bill was €9.45 per person. Good value for good honest food.

If you are in the In Crowd , this appears to be fine. But if like me you are an unknown, forget it. Food very average Tasca food.

Good food, good wine, good prices, much sympathy, sums up the environment... and a nice place too.. ... a restaurant not to be missed excellent value for money
