Restaurant FloraAlpina - Vitznau

We stayed at Hotel Therfore on the first day, we chose the restaurant. Everything was good, service and food. Two days later, when we decided for dinner at the restaurant, it was a nightmare! We came around 19h50, first customers in a series of tables. We chose a main dish and a drink. We have received our drinks, wine and water quickly. After 45 minutes waiting our food, we asked the waiter whether there was a problem like all the other tables of the row had received appetizers and main dish. And the customers were all arrived and ordered to us! The answer of the waiter was Hey, no stress!!! Not very professional. After more, the answer was 3 minutes. After 20 minutes more wait without eating something and asking the waiter again, we finally got our plates. Wrong dish for one and the salad with the wrong dressing. The court was quickly replaced as it was a last confusion. We didn't insist on the salad dress. We have reported the problem at the reception, with not much effect, but the embarrassing apology of the receptionist. The result is the restaurant under the staff and not well managed. Eating in this restaurant is a little like playing the lottery!

Well, we were all in places around the world, some luxury sites, some amazing places, some cool concept locations, was there that was done. But this place here is simply amazing and the price/value ratio is simply fantastic. You have not only one of the most beautiful views in Switzerland over the lake (magic sunset), but you are also treated at the highest level of hospitality that you can get. Very friendly staff, super helpful with everything you need, very flexible and comfortable, they all make you feel at home. Amazingly good food, we went through a 5-course dinner, good wines with him, and this at the prices you find nowhere else. So if you want to make your wife a surprise like me, this is definitely a place to go. It is not the 5-star super-modern stuff, but surprisingly cozy still a good standard. It is the place you go, enjoy the wellness after a great hike through Mount Rigi, enjoy the food, drink some wine and go to sleep.

Great service and a nice lunch with the family, with an unpaid view over Lake Lucerne. The food was very good and the children's menu kept the children entertaining. Service was very fast and helpful.

FloraAlpina Restaurant has something for everyone. Order local fare from menu or do the buffet that includes different meats smoked daily on their smoker. They have a lovely terrace down from the outdoor dining patio with vignettes for romantic or larger groups to indulge in a cocktail. A wonderful experience.

The FlorAlpina restaurant is basically an exceptional place to visit when you stay at the hotel or you want a beautiful dish. The staff is very friendly, attentive and they know how to treat people. Food is generally made with love, and made for people who appreciate food to eat well, you need to know how to eat and understand the food process.
