One of several routier restaurants on the N10 best remains the Poitiers offering in my opinion. Easy access, nice and bright, with competent buffet and standard main course. Good value for money as usual.
When travelling to the southwest of France we always take the RN10 i.s.o. the A10 because this is a easy driving road without toll payment and you do not lose much time compared to taking the A10 (if losing any at all). We made a stopover in Vivonne on one of our trips and were looking for a restaurant. We saw the Routier restaurant and decided to give it a try, knowing that a member of my family had been a trucker and I always remember that he said that one was offered a decent meal at a low price in Les Routiers restaurants. We cannot agree more with him. You pay at the bar upfront and then you go into the restaurant were everything looks nice. There is a large selection of cold starters (there are even oysters) and the selection of main courses is written on a table. A choice of cheeses and a selection of desserts is included as well (so is the wine and water). Upon our return home we decided to stop here again for lunch and we were not disappointed (although the apple pie was a bit on the minus side). The place is visted by truckers as well as by locals and travellers like us. The place is even open on Saturday and Sunday noon which you don't find often in Les Routiers restaurants. We will certainly consider stopping here again when this fits in our travel schedule.
We returned from a family weekend, where on our road we couldn’t find restaurants, so we found this road on our way on Sunday noon, we were seduced by the warm welcome of a lady! as well as the quality of the products we ate! We were comfortable in this restaurant that matches our image! (convivality, simplicity and warmth). We have the address back in the area. very well maintained place and quantities at will. thanks for this great family meal
This is a reasonably large relais routier and the decor is functional. We visited on a Sunday, when only one dining room was required and occupied by a few truckers and a few families. D. couldn 't believe our luck. The set lunch cost 13 euros pp and included hors d 'oeuvres from a buffet, a main, a dessert and a quarter of wine. The hors d 'oeuvres buffet included: oysters, prawns, tomatoes, cucumber, lovely cous cous salad, hams, saucisson sec, cheeses and a variety of composed salads. Everything we had was really good. The mains included two kinds of steak in different sauces, chicken, duck in pepper sauce, skate, etc. There is a daily special, in addition. Again, really good. The dessert menu included ice cream, fruit salad, a fruit platter, apple tart, ile flottante, gateau basquaise. From my perspective, these would have been even better if they had stuck to tradition and left off the sprinkles. The coffee was good, too.
