Smit Bokkum B.v. Volendam

Hopped on yelp while visiting a seaside village on a tour. It was a 10 minute walk from the hustle and bustle. Restaurant is situated in a beautiful marina. Wonderful view. Warm staff who didn't mind I didn't speak Dutch. Food was wonderful. Highly recommend!!

Great food service was ok. We came here after a day in Zach's Sachans, and Edam. We started with the Dutch shrimp and prawns....delicious! The Saffron risotto with seafood and mushrooms was outstanding, flavorful and the seafood cooked to perfection. Salmon from the smokery with tagliatelle and truffle sauce delicious. I had the fish and chips, perfect coating yet the fish was light and fluffy. This was one of the best meals we had in Holland.

The fish and chips were some of the best I've had , and my husbands fish was delicious and fresh . A nice place for a relaxing meal. Server had a bit of an attitude an older lady who seemed to be irritated by tourists. Seemed very friendly to regulars . This put us off but overall a nice meal .

Was gewoon Top! De noordzeeschotel als voorgerecht was mss klein maar heel fijn ... is dan ook een voorgerecht zeker? De gerookte zalmmoot maakte alles compleet. Van dessert of koffie niet kunnen genieten omdat we plaats moesten maken want onze tafel was reeds gereserveerd maar dat wisten we dan ook netjes op voorhand. Ik ga zeker eens terug!!!
