Bistro - Volksrust

A beautiful setting. Some of the most inedible poultry imaginable. The quail was like rubber bands, and the mash and beans merely adequate. Sour milk in the cappuccino. Not to be recommended.

We had the quail and the meat was so tough it was impossible to cut. The only part of the meal we were able to eat was the mash and vegetables. The rhubarb pie was passable. The cappuccino was made with milk that had gone off. Unfortunately, a regrettable experience.

If u love great affordable food and great service, this is the place for u. Wonderful atmosphere. Great staff. chef that delight. Don’t miss the wonderful art on display, and for sale, in the restaurant. Will definitely be going back.

One of my favourite restaurants ! Every time we drive past Wakkerstroom we stop here to have lunch. The food is amazing and most of all the quality of your meals are the same. They have such interesting food and combinations. Really awesome
