But when we entered we were welcomed with a terrible smell of old kitchen mops and no personnel what so ever. There were customers eating and we had awkward 5-7 minutes of standing and waiting for anyone to actually come while people somehow were starring at us like we do not belong to the place. But no. So we just left. The general feeling is very negative. BUT can say nothing about the food since we did not try it.
Have tried steaks in many places in Russia and the Pepper Steak here was the best I have had- tender, flavorful and cooked medium as ordered. The rest of the food was good also except the bread which was a couple of slices from a regular store bought loaf. The service was friendly and fairly efficient for the location.
Great Czech beer and meat. Looks like this is the only place in Vyborg if you got a walk around the town until 20:00, found nothing else in Old Town area. Kitchen's closing at 22:30, so keep it in mind if you want to get something for takeout.
My wife ordered greek salad and I a medium pebber steak. After 30 minutes the salad arrived, and after we asked, the beef arrived after 50 minutes. It had been on the grill the whole time, and was very well done. The waitress could not care less about service, and only shook here shoullders when we asked about the foods arrival or the medium steak.. She look very dissatisfied the whole evening. There were a total of three tables the whole evening, so the lack of service cannot be explained by to many guests. At 600 rubles, a welll done steak, with acceptable sauce and 12 potato wedges is to expensive. There was not a single vegetable in sight. We also had a bread basket, which was 4 small rye bread and no butter. All in all service was a Fawlty Tower experience and food was very mediocre at best. Wil never come back
Beautiful and cozy place in the restaurant there is no great selection of food. I think music could be more modern.
