Food is good, but I will echo the same sentiment others have said in these reviews, there 's that girl at the front register, you will heard her say say the other day oh I work with the fire department as if that gives her an excuse to treat other Americans like trash, that 's where that stuff starts, and they let folks get away with it.

Avoid this jumped up coffee shop that could, if it cared, be a great place to relax throughout the day. Instead its delusions of grandeur, variously indifferent, rude or outright offensive service, and confusing rules on where to sit all contributed to it being added to our Never Go Back list. Besides Starbucks, there don 't seem to be many other similar options in town, so that may explain the attitude. Selected regulars and staff can apparently sit at the small bar, but when my wife asked, she was told to sit down at a table and wait for a menu, which took an age to arrive. When she returned from taking a phone call outside (to avoid disturbing the other two customers) she was castigated for moving around, as if only doing this to annoy them. As the final insult, when she took a peek at another customer 's dish to see if we might want to order it the following day, one of the management staff (Brant) abruptly ordered her off the premises with a threat to call the police. The offence? Unauthorized viewing of a burrito? The all to familiar exercise of petty power by those who had hoped their lives would come to more than working at a coffee shop. On a prior visit, I bought my coffee up front and then proceeded to sit in one of the three lounge chairs at the back, which is apparently fine, but depending on who you ask, you can, or can 't, order food there. And when we asked if we could just order the grilled chicken add on to a salad, without the salad, they said no unlike pretty much every other place we have ever asked this question. Too much for the easily confused kitchen (very likely based on a number of other reviews), or simply that they can 't be bothered. Anyway, do yourself a favor and find somewhere (anywhere) else in Avon.
