Service is very courteous, every dish is amazing, the sushis are well done and fresh. The place is warm and cozy with a little garden chique twist. What do u need more?
We went there for family gathering of five people. Food was testless, portions minuscule, we waited more then 30 min for each order. Waiter billed 3 times for the dish that was ordered once. Was difficult to convince him that only one person ordered this dish and not 3. After long negotiation we paid around 400$ for 5 persons and left hungry.
First and last time at this restaurant...Very bad quality and expensive... for sure this is not a Japanese restaurant, neither the quality or savoir-faire are there...The waiter recommended, for me and my husband, the Love boat as a romantic dinner for two... We are very disappointed and disgusted...Before choosing to go to this restaurant, we checked some of the reviews on line, and I have to say that these reviews are extremely misleading...
Mikasa Sushi Bar is located right on the corner of Sauve and L'Acadie. The decor inside is very nice. We had made a 7 pm reservation on a Wednesday night. We were quickly seat and our waitress, Maria, came over with the menu. She came back a few minutes later and asked if we needed any help in explaining some of their dishes. They have some really interesting specialty items nicely presented in colour on laminated cards. Nice touch. By about 7:15 pm the restaurant was filling up.After looking everything over, we decided to try their Love Boat, which consisted of 34 assorted pieces of Maki, Sashimi and Nigiri. We asked Maria if we could only order their Maki and this wasn't a problem. Our boat arrived about 15 minutes later and it was beautifully presented, it even had some fresh flowers in the middle of our boat. The Maki was very very good. We barely managed to finish it. Dessert was impossible but the deep fried ice cream or the fried banana sounded great. Mikasa has been around for 16 years, so they must be doing something right. Enjoy!!
