Drove down from Dallas, TX to try this place out and wasn’t disappointed. Good options on the menu and food was great!

I had the daily special that was Davies take on a Ukrainian dish with half the proceeds going to support the Ukrainian people. The meal itself was phenomenal. The flavors all worked perfectly together. The thought behind the dish made It that much better. Every restaurant needs to have the heart of this owner operator. Well done Honky Tonk BBQ!!!!!!

The barbecue is ok. They do interesting stuff that you should try. But if you're looking just for regular Texas brisket go to Guess

HTK bbq is good for what it is. A small town bbq shop. The Brazos Nachos is my go to. The chip to bean to queso gives you the feeling of utter relaxation while washing it down with a frostie root beer. Downside is there is not a lot of seating and it's not the cleanest but it's bbq so I'd be scared if it was spotless. The brisket was good not great. The Mac n cheese was good but not great. The baked beans were also good but not great. Long story short, it's good bbq but not great unless you get the brazos nachos. Those are amazing. Lastly, the people and parking are great.
