Saffron - Waco

During our first visit to Waco, we drove along Valley Mills and spotted a charming restaurant named Saffron, which immediately caught our eye. Curious, we decided to stop for a photo and to check out the menu. We were warmly welcomed by Lamisa, who guided us through the menu. As she spoke, I could see the dishes being served from the kitchen, and the delicious aromas made my mouth water. I ordered the butter chicken, plain naan, samosas, and chicken seekh kebab, all of which were freshly prepared and tasted incredible—we simply couldn’t get enough! The restaurant was beautifully decorated, immersing us in the culture. We can’t wait to return to Waco just to dine here again! Thank you so much, Saffron, for the wonderful experience!

I discovered this restaurant on Yelp while searching for a quick snack before our dinner reservation later tonight, and I'm so glad we decided to stop in. The service was incredibly friendly, and our server assisted us in choosing two delicious dishes: Veggie Samosa Chaat and Ragda Pattices, paired with a side of spicy naan. It was exactly what we were craving! I only wish we had more time to try other items on the menu, as everything looked so enticing!

Excellent Indian lunch, everything was seasoned nicely, piping hot, and delicious!! Server was knowledgeable, pleasant, and efficient. My spicy entree 'chicken karahi ' was wonderful especially with the fluffy, light biryani rice. I didn 't leave a drop on my plate! The beef samosas were the best I 've ever had -full of flavor, with a great dipping sauce. Naan bread was also served in a basket- fresh and good. The chai marsala hot tea was also very good. I appreciate being served on real plates, real silverware with linen napkins, and hearing traditional Indian/Pakistani music.

Oh wow! It's so nice to try something totally different than what we are used to. We have made Chicken Curry at home and love it but the one served here was double delicious! My sister has been raving about Naan flatbread and I finally tried it. I ordered the garlic flavored one and was hooked on first bite for sure. I ordered the Vegetable Stir Fry and my husband ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. The waitress just answered our questions but she wasn't very helpful nor did she make us feel welcome. It was our first time visiting and it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. Food didn't take long to come out and we will definitely be back for more! The sweet tea was good too.

Wow, I've definitely found my new favorite restaurant! I'm completely in love with their food, especially the butter chicken and Karahi chicken. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because they truly are the best! Every time I order takeout, it's always quick, hot, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious! The rice is so good that I could enjoy it on its own and be completely satisfied! I highly recommend this fantastic restaurant!
