The Gizzards I had ever seasoned like the German frits, but it wasn't something I couldn't fix with the salt and pepper from the table.
Five of us went to lunch. We sat in the family dining area. They were short employees, but the only server they managed to keep everything at a good pace. Our food came hot and the service was right. Definitely a place we want to visit again.
The food was okay. We had a family style for 18. The room was big, but the tables weren't well placed so we all talk easily. The cod was not good. Everyone said the chicken was good. At least $17. There were many pages, but the green beans and Slav were the best. There were potatoes gravy dumplings / chicken rolls and a few others I can't remember. The waitress came back only once when the food was delivered.
You talk about a best kept secret place. They have very good food. If your party is big enough like ours was they do serve family style servings which everything was really good. They have days like last weekend they had muscle cars at the restaurant. If you like fried chicken you will love this place. It's in St. Wendell, Indiana you have to try this place if you have never been there. It was first time but absolutely will not be my last. Service is good the place was very clean and if you drink alcohol you probably will love the Silver Bell Restaurant.
Great place to stop in. I enjoy the fried chicken. Prices are great and portions are huge. I haven't tried a side there that I didn't like. Gizzards and livers are good. Love the decor. It takes you back. No complaints. Restrooms were just recently updated and look great. Facility is clean and staff is super. Worth the drive out of Evansville to check out.
