The Old Vine - Wadhurst

I never got the chance to eat here because the pub canceled my reservation due to high temperatures. I did stop by for a drink, but they closed at 9:30 on a Saturday, turning off the lights and locking the door as we were leaving. I'm very disappointed.

A very welcoming pub with attentive staff. I had the best fish and chips I've enjoyed in a long time. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal.

I booked a table through this website and arrived at the pub at the scheduled time, only to find it closed! There was no indication of when it had last been open (it didn't seem very recent) or when it might open again. Thankfully, we were able to get a reservation at a fantastic Indian restaurant in Wadhurst.

We booked on OpenTable and we’re all prepared to have a nice meal only to discover that the pub was closed. Not notice and even the voicemail did not suggest they were closed. Avoid.
