Parking on the street. Take out only. We enjoyed the Pig on grass order. The pork was really yummy and flavorful. Wished we would ask for more BBQ sauce. The sauce made the pork tasted better. The milkshake mud pie was thick and yummy.
We got the pork plate, lava flow milkshake and tacos they were all amazing. There was no dine-in when we visited but you could sit on the benches outside. The service was good. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
At first the food was great. My favorite was the Pupukea Bomber. Its what I would get every time. The potatoes were soft, eggs fluffy, the seasoning had the perfect kick, the seasonings somewhat made a nice red saucy burrito. There were a variety of veggies mixed into it with just the right amount of cheese. I go there a lot then the food began to be INCONSISTENT. It’s a hit or miss if you get it the same. Most of the time it tastes like it’s been rushed. And it probably was. It gets really busy and takes 30-40 minutes. Now, the potatoes aren’t cooked. Nobody eats raw potatoes unless you’re a psychopath. There’s no seasoning anymore it’s like they just shoved everything in there without any seasonings and thought yeah this is fine. I could barely finish it and wasted money. It was so bland and so much cheese it overpowered the burrito itself. I’m really sad it’s changed because I really loved their Pupukea. Will I eat there again? Definitely. It’s like like Russian roulette 1 our is 6 it might taste good. I’ll take my chances. Why did I rate it that way? Don’t ask me
I grabbed the haleiwa bomber who wanted a little bite to keep my partner and I'm over after a long walk. I thought this place is known for her slowly roasted pigs, I didn't want to get anything else really into the way. this bomber was beyond expectations. I thought it might not be with the kartoffels, and i found them with typical burritos. but I was very wrong. this 2 paired so well with the award-winning pork that I didn't really want to share anymore. it came with an salsa, but I didn't even have to do with it (a rare occasion for me.) katsu (hope I spell it right) helped me out and was friendly. he has not only talked with a small conversation on the surface, but actually had a good chat with all I saw help him. I'll be back soon.
