The ropa Vieja dumplings were super small and I ordered 2 for $5 each, 4 pieces of fried yucca, a little burnt fries, 2 malts and 2 pina coladas $43.98 without tip
What an amazing place off beaten path, I'd drive to places like thos everyday vs waiting in Waikiki
I got the pernil plate which was excellent. My mate got the fried pork chop pork belly which was devine.
Found this place by accident while searching for another restaurant in Waianae side...We decided in trying something different and stopped by at Coquito's...We were extremely suprised how tasty the food was... Loved the variety of Latin cuisine (The Colombian Empanadas, Jerk Wings and Mofongo with Flank Steak stood out)... The portion sizes were huge (something that's a positive for me)... Overall, a great experience... only little downer was eating outdoors (which was a pleasant atmosphere intially) but flies and mosquitoes were all around...Also, it's BYOB, so if you wanna drink as well, your welcome to bring your own booze...Much recommended to visit.
Great dishes from Puerto Rico such as mofongo and gandule rice. Wish they bring back the Can Can pork chops.
