La Grignette Artisanal Bakery - Waihi

Delicious food. Highly recommended. Best I've tasted in and out of France.

We kind of stumbled across this place and weren't disappointed. As a former viennoiserie chef and having spent time in France as a food tourist, I can guarantee that this is the real deal. The pastry and the bread is amazing and the prices are reasonable. I also grew up in Waihi in the 80's, so to find a place like this on Rosemont Road blew my mind. It's worth stopping anytime you're traveling through.

!! A must stop when in the area !!! Doesn't look like much but damn amazing stuff. Full of butter, flaky a really moist. Tried the palmier and almond pain au chocolate and wow! My man said it was the best he ever had and we tried few before). Locals know about this place, so come in early so you dont miss out

The fruit tart was stunning both beautiful to look at and had the perfect balance of flavours and textures. The food is not your typical bakery food it's got a very authentic small batch artisan look and the good flavours to go with it. The sour dough I had was very moist with a lovely nutty crust.

Best French brioche made here. Just the way you have it in Paris. I love the taste of freshly made brioche. Merci beaucoup Monsieur Thierry.
