The smoothies were good. The food was overpriced and not great.
Mediocre at best. This bar offers standard menu options, and the high prices you would expect from a resort restaurant. The food was O.K. The Caesar Salad was essentially just iceberg lettuce and 8 croutons. The flat bread pizzas were on-par with the quality of a frozen pizza from the grocery store. I'd recommend any other restaurant on the island instead, if this hotel wasn't so inconveniently far from anything else. Parking: $48/day parking fee in additional to hotel, and resort fees.
We have been to main kona brewing many times and always had a great experience. We are staying at the Hilton and decided to try out the tap house for pupus and drinks. Unfortunately this place doesn 't live up to the standard. Our server was fairly rude and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. After having to go up to the bar twice to grab our own drinks on different occasions we go to pay and since we are a group of 6 we get hit with an 18% gratuity for being a large group .We are hopeful to give the original Kona brewing another try but I 'd stick to the other restaurants when staying at the Hilton
My recent visit to Kona Tap Room left me quite disappointed. While the ambiance and drink selection were decent, the service and billing experience were subpar.Firstly, the wait service was incredibly slow. It took an unusually long time to get attention from the staff, and even longer to receive our orders.However, the real issue arose when I received my bill and noticed I was overcharged. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, I expected a swift and apologetic resolution. Unfortunately, my concern was met with little regard. It felt like my complaint was brushed aside, and there was little effort made to rectify the error.Moreover, there seemed to be a misunderstanding regarding the pricing of certain drinks. Casamigos and Cazadores are distinct brands, and there should be no confusion regarding their prices. It's essential for customers to pay for what they ordered, without being overcharged or having discrepancies in pricing due to mix-ups.Overall, while the Kona Tap Room may have some positives, such as its atmosphere and drink selection, the poor service and billing experience overshadowed any enjoyment I might have had. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving their customer service and billing accuracy in the future.
