The Beef Noodle Soup with the soft beef was okay. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp was fantastic! It wasn't too salty and the coating on it was crispy and cooked to perfection. The Shrimp they used was very big and tasty! It complimented our Special Fried Rice very well. It is very nice that they are open on the weekends, whether for lunch where the parking is plentiful or an evening buffet. This is definitely a place where we'll come back for all .... four seasons ;
They not only looked after my family of 13 but took care of a full restaurant. The food was amazing and want for nothing more, we had lots of takehomes. Not one order was messed up and very reasonable priceing. The owner and son were so polite and efficient not to just us but all the other patrons. Clean restaurant, can't wait till they get the smog up and running. This restaurant is a must if you come to Wainwright. They also have take-out. Thank you May from the Four Seasons.
It's a great prairie Chinese diner, if you're familiar with early Alberta Chinese history and settlement patterns. Basically, just about every small Alberta town had/has a Chinese restaurant and over the years, rejigged their menus to please western farmer's tastes. So in a way, it's true fusion food of sorts. Today was lunch and I had beef and veg while one friend had Singapore Noodles. Another pal had the combo plate (beef, chicken fried rice, and sweet/sour pork). Last pal had... A cheeseburger! All diners expressed satisfaction with their meals. All meals were incredibly generous to the point of too much! I can only speak for my meal but it was delicious. Lots of beef, bok choy, cauliflower, and broccoli wokked in a black bean sauce. Very nice. If you're on as road trip (as we were) and feel a little adventurous, try out the little Chinese eateries on the Alberta prairies. Some are excellent, some not so much, but always fun. This restaurant falls in the excellent category.
New management has really improved the quality of the food here. Off menu or buffet are both good. Reasonable prices and the service is fair. Pretty clean and quaint. We've enjoyed the experience. *Update: unfortunately the buffet is no longer available but the menu is really good. Consistent quality and pretty fast.
This is one of my favourite places to eat in wainwright. The owner is so pleasant, friendly and kind. She always makes a point to ask you how you’re doing. The food is also fantastic!!!
