This pub is a hidden gem located just 2 minutes off the 1 Motorway in the charming town of Drury. The atmosphere is great, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options for both couples and larger groups. There is good parking available in front and around the back of the pub. The drink selection is wide-ranging and the food is typical of a pub. I ordered the small portion of fish and chips, which was delicious. The chips were crispy and flavorful, and the fish was flaky and tasty. The salad was average. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, if you find yourself hungry while on the 1 Motorway or in need of a break, I highly recommend stopping by this pub.

I visited the restaurant last night. The service was friendly and the food was good. The atmosphere was great with friendly locals. The gaming room could use a minor makeover, but it's not a big issue.

I visited this restaurant on Waitangi Day after another supposedly Fine Dining restaurant, which I had booked well in advance, turned out to be closed. After struggling to find another open restaurant, we decided to have a meal at a pub. To our pleasant surprise, the food and atmosphere were very enjoyable. The only downside was the dessert menu, but the lamb main dish was one of the best I've had recently. The bar staff were fantastic. We will definitely be returning in the future.
