Despite being very busy, the service was prompt and friendly and the food was tasty and enjoyable with generous sized portions. The weixen beer was also still on top form although only the light beer was available on this visit.!
We have been visiting for 10 years now and we have yet to find anywhere else that does Apple Ice Cream as good as this! There are lots of reasons to recommend Weixen such as the food, the home brewed beer, the fishing lake and the children’s play area but few recommend the ice cream so I thought it deserved its own mention.
Super friendly waitress, excellent food, beer from own brewery. Worth a visit. Family friendly. We brought our dog, no problem. Maybe there is no mobile reception, so it is not possible to pay by phone. Just bring your credit card or cash.
Combining a fishing activity in family and a good meal is difficult to find, except here. For the 4 of us, we had a great experience fishing and we finished eating the trouts in the restaurant, where the very friendly staff helped us feel very comfortable. Besides, there is a playground area for children nearby the lunch area. Great experience and highly recommendable activity.
This is our second year, finishing our weeks skiing with friends, with a lovely 4km walk from Worth village, to this fab restaurant in the valley. They are a small family place, their own micro-brewery means the 4 options of beers are superb! They have a fishing lake with the freshest trout we've tasted (outside Scotland of course! and their daily specials include hearty steaks or casseroles, this time we had venison last year it was chamois.. huge portions.. but try to save space for the very lovely pancakes homemade ice-cream. The neighbour produces delicious honey, which somehow finds itself as the most delicious honey schnapps?! Thankfully there's a bus back to the village!
