They offer some assorted hot food items, as well, such as subs, pizza, and at times, broaster chicken. There is an inside area for family and friends to dine, as well. Service has always been courteous and the surroundings are tidy and casual. All around nice place to stop in. The prices are just a bit higher than I would expect, but, not terrible.
My family and I went to Genos last week for dinner. For one of the meals we ordered one 2 piece chicken dinner. When we got to the table we noticed the two chicken drumsticks were so small they had about as much meat as a chicken wing. I asked the worker if she can substitute the pieces or add a third piece. She refused saying, No because if I give you another piece of chicken we 'd have to pay for it. She gave me the phone number of the manager and told me to call her the next day. The next day I spoke to Brandi. I explained the situation to her. She told me they had no control over the sizes of pieces of meat they receive. She was extremely rude. Three separate times she cut me off as I was trying to speak to her. At one point very loudly and firmly she said I will not argue with you! I am very busy! You call later after 2 PM. Goodbye! She then hung up on me. At no time in that conversation did I ever raise my voice to her. She was extremely unprofessional. I will never go to that restaurant again.
I drove out here to try the ice cream, we 've been by it several times but never had time to stop. We ordered the soft serve as nothing in the case looked appealing. I know it 's hard pack ice cream, and it 's in a freezer but do they have to let the ice cream frost over? So my daughter and I got the soft serve, and it 's self serve btw. We only put a small amount in each dish . My daughter had toppings, I did not. The rude cashier, who acted like we were bothering her with our questions, even got annoyed when we asked for spoons. Then I learn the soft serve, self serve is charged by the ounce./weight. The cashier said that will be 10.37 WHAAAAT? for 2 small dishes of soft serve ice cream?? No wonder the place is empty. I politely declined my ice cream, my daughter wanted hers. It was THEN I learned the soft serve ice cream cost .53 an ounce good bye Gen o 's. BACK TO WHITEYS FOR THIS FAMILY... Oh, you can get the same amount of ice cream, soft, self serve at CASEY 's for 1.69 charged by the bowl or cone. NOT BY THE OUNCE! There was a lady who came in to get the hard packed ice cream packaged for take out. She saw and heard what happened and said, I was in shock too the first time we came here and my husband, 2 children and I got a dish of the soft serve, which is not good anyway. And the cashier said our bill was 29.16, we don 't get that anymore, my kids didn 't even finish it do I watched about 18.00 worth of Ice cream melt to into oblivion Note to owner....ease up on the napkin rationing! Kids need more than one napkin when they eat ice cream...
After hearing so much about their fantastic ice cream and customer service, we made the 20 minute drive to give it a try. The guy helping us was clearly new and the woman he had asked for assistance from seemed inconvenienced by his questions. The ice cream was not good, we would have preferred the Dairy Queen up the street.
