Captains Fresh Idea - Waldoboro

I was exploring the coastal highway and decided to try this restaurant for the first time. My guests and I were really impressed by the delicious food and excellent service. I ordered the fish tacos, and I was very happy with both the portion size and the flavor! My friends also loved the haddock sandwich. The restroom was immaculate as well. I found the prices to be reasonable and the portions generous. It’s a good sign when the owner makes an effort to come out and visit each table in the dining room. I just wish I had saved some space for blueberry pie!

I had an incredible lobster roll that was absolutely delicious! The service was outstanding, with friendly staff and a lovely owner who clearly stays involved with her team. This year marks her 30th anniversary! Congratulations on all the hard work and the delectable food. Although we traveled a long way to get here from Texas, it was definitely worth the trip!

The fried clams here are truly the best I've ever had! The staff is wonderful, and their blueberry desserts are unmatched. Whenever we visit mid coast Maine, I always make sure to plan our trip so we can enjoy lunch at Captain’s Fresh Idea.

We ate at Captain's Fresh Idea restaurant a couple weeks ago and it was delicious! This was the only restaurant in Maine where the lobster in the lobster rolls was a little warm which made them absolutely fabulous! All of the food is homemade. The owners were also very friendly and helpful. Our family felt this restaurant serves the best lobster rolls in Maine :

Yummy fried scallops and very good homemade potato salad. Service was very good and friendly. Great example of small family oriented business.
