Memorable meal. Popped i.... Memorable meal. <br/ <br/ Popped in because the twin kiss was renamed Texas Ribs BBQ. I had gotten pork at the Twin Kiss once and it was good, do went for a real meal. <br/ <br/ Being in MD, they started with cream of crab. Thick, good, with just enough old bay flavor. Really enjoyed. <br/ <br/ Ordered ribs. Really good. Well trimmed so they weren't overly fatty, and the meat was sweet and tender. Well covered in aside while smoking so they had a good mix of sweet sauce and smoky flavor. Really good ribs, good flavor and a real nicely done rack. I got beans and slaw with it. The beans also had a real nice flavor. Often they have too much or too little sauce, and it has a nondescript flavor. These were in the wetter side with just the right amount of smoke and flavor from a nice mix of spices. The slaw was creamy with some celery seed in it and was pretty sweet but just the right amount. <br/ <br/ Reading the blog/critic reviews, it seems that there are either inaccuracies or things have changed. A few I noted are listed below. <br/ <br/ The sauce is not thin or watery, but nice and thick. The hot isn't really hot, and just has a nice spice over the mild flavor. Because the ribs were cooked nicely and basted/coated when cooking, there really wasn't a real need to add sauce, yet the ribs also weren't overly slathered in sauce. <br/ <br/ The beans as mentioned above are wetter than some places, but not excessively saucy and quite flavorful. Some of the best BBQ beans I've had in a long time. <br/ <br/ The slaw was creamy, not vinegar based. <br/ <br/ I'd highly recommend the twin kiss/Texas BBQ if in the area. Really good, well flavored and prepared barbecue.
Good Food. Food is consistently good and service is usually very efficient, though it can slip a little at times. Not much on atmosphere, but I go there for the food not ambiance.
