First time there. Food was good. Our waiter, Marty, was great, very fun! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Went out for date night. Waitress was great, she recommended a nice bottle of wine. The menu definitely could have used a combo to accommodate for a date night, so we just got the brisket meal and added pulled pork, shrimp, and more sides. Our food came out and looked good. Unfortunately, the brisket and pulled pork were cold (not room temp). We told the waitress and she tool it back in the kitchen. It came back to us with flat top grill marks on the sides and still cold on the other slices. The shrimp was majorly overcooked at this point, so that was a loss. The manager came and apologized, saying it's smoked and the temps and such. Nice enough, but there is no way you can tell me that meat was from today, that was refrigerated cold. I bet if it was fresh it would be great.
Holy amazing barbecue. This place is a bit out of the way and off a neighborhood but wow it does not disappoint. When we went the place was not busy, but it made for a one on one service that was attentive and not lax. This was great. The food is amazing, try the candied bacon if they still have it. As far as the restaurant styling it's very open space with modern decor. Sometimes that means echo in sound but it felt quiet and fitting to the smoke house vibe. One note is the hours were a bit strange. We tried to go on my last trip to the area but they were closed Monday. I guess that makes sense, but I was hoping to show this place off to my travel party.
Can't beat their brunch! How do you go wrong combining barbecue with eggs Benedict???
