All the choices were the right! go back safely to the blasphemy and squeaky for my main course. very good and please just go for that! I thank the cook personally for it and yes, the beer was his usual high standard.

The atmosphere was beautiful and the staff very polite and friendly. you feel like you're a master. the portions were large and the eating very tasty. the total was very good.

Great service, friendly staff, nice eating there is certainly a good cook in situ, the pub was not a bit warmer the protocol fire (which we were sitting before) was nice, but in general the pub was not warm and we did not sit in the restaurants as it would have been cold. we had a drink in the bar in the late afternoon, when the fire did not burn in our moms and it was cold disappointing really, as the train of a real country pub in the winter cozy log fire and a place to stay!

Beautiful village, beautiful environment, cordial greeting in pub, not clogged, eating was great and fast and efficient delivered, cheeseboard as fab!

Had been previous year and were asked in advance about Xmas options. This year heard nothing and on arrival were told we should have ordered in advance. Nowhere at time of booking this year or on website was this made clear. No apology. Also was leak in roof that dropped water on friends head. Again no apology, we’re told it only does this occasionally. We moved table back so we didn’t get wet as though restaurant not busy we were not offered alternative location. From damage in ceiling leak had obviously been there somewhile. Will not be returning.
