Cheese Steak Shop - Walnut Creek

I have eaten 2-3 times a week in 1998 - 2000. I left last week and came back to the city. my wife and I have made it priority to visit her invite. as philly native I am a huge cheese steak fan. we have two big cheeses. I was very disappointed. the main reason why I was originally pulled into her shop and always returning is the roll. I don't know when you drop. philly made rolling but her new roll has much too much brot. I'm sure it's reducing their cost, but I'm not going to be back for a sandwich. the best.

It had been a few years since I last visited this restaurant (due to the pandemic), but it seems like they have renovated since then. The interior is beautiful and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food was delicious as always.

I'm from philly! this is the real deal! amaroso rolls wonderful cherry pepper quality chopped steak with smooth creamy cheese. if they have never had an authentic Philly cheese steak, go to the steak shop!

I started coming here. Eating is great with ingredients that are always fresh. boiled to order. try this place for a great sandwich!

The young woman at the register is amazing. She is handling everything professionally and is also very kind. The man cooking the food made my sandwich just right. I love this restaurant chain all around the bay because the sandwiches are unbeatable. That being said, the staff here is the best I've come across, and the dining area is large and clean. Visited on 2/19/22.
