Had a retirement party here. Excellent service, good food.

We enjoyed our meals. We shared the roasted cauliflower appetizer, which had been served with a mayo based sauce. I had the salmon and my partner had penne alla checca. We both suffered from severe indigestion later that evening. Since we both had the appetizer, we think that the mayo sauce was the culprit. We asked for bread several times, and then when it was finally served, understood why the servers were so reluctant to provide the bread. It was dry and tasteless. The service was fine, after it was sorted out who are server was. This restaurant is pricey, and there are better restaurants for the money in Walnut Creek.

I work for Hospice East Bay and we chose Massimo to have our annual Legacy Society luncheon. We were greeted by Shawna and from the moment she introduced herself we knew we were in good hands. She was quick, efficient and very professional. She single handedly took care of our 36 lunch guests. The food was hot, delicious and served with a smile. We felt welcomed and at home and every other staff member was also accommodating and polite. We will surely be back next year for this event. Thanks Sandra and the Massimo team for a great event!!

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely dinner for our anniversary. We had reservations so were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant has a romantic atmosphere and the staff are quite friendly. We sampled a couple wines before committing to a bottle and the waitress was very helpful with the selection. After deciding on the wine we had cheese bread and the beets salad for starters. For our main, i had the chicken marsala and he had the lasagna. Both were very tasty. Sadly we didn't take any photos of the meals. We were very satisfied with our date night experience. The only criticism would be, the portions are not very big but just enough, so if you're very hungry you might need more starters to help fill you up.
