When I took two napkins from his counter for my daughters, who were enjoying pastries next door, he shouted at me as if I were doing something wrong. His patronizing tone made me feel belittled, and I’ve never experienced such an insult in my life. He reduced me to nothing more than a napkin thief. Thankfully, the restaurant is located inside a grocery store, so I ended up purchasing some napkins for them—clearly, they needed them more than I did. To the man who yelled at me: you lost more than just two napkins; you lost a potential regular customer. My mother-in-law, who shops here, has now decided to boycott the entire establishment. It’s a valuable lesson: always treat people with respect and don’t judge others based on appearances.
Interestingly, it felt a bit odd to have sulung tang without the traditional gaktugi (radish kimchi), but I understand that restaurants may need to simplify their offerings and labor due to the challenges posed by Covid to remain operational. The same woman who usually manages the cash register was there, and the man who seems to be the owner and cook was not wearing a mask. Hand sanitizer was available for customers.
Located at the corner of Han Nam Market World, I ordered the Udon combo that came with 8 California rolls. The food was decent—not outstanding—but it was satisfying enough to leave me feeling full.
Great and fresh food, I like the character the spot has, and the workers were welcoming. I will definitely visit here again.
Never had a chance to taste the food. But the man running the restaurant yelled at me for taking two napkins from his counter which was for my daughters who were eating pastries next door. He then began to talk down to me as if I was some sort of juvenile. I never have been so insulted in my life. He reduced me to a napkin thief. Good thing this place was located in a grocery as I bought the restaurant some napkins. Seems like they needed it more than I did. To the person that yelled at me, you lost more than two napkins, you lost a regular customer. My mother in law who shops here will be boycotting this entire establishment. Life lesson: treat people with dignity and never judge a book by its cover.
