Room was fine except bed which was not comfy and pillows were disappointing. Service was friendly however reception was not open during hours the sign on the door stated. Not alot of options in this small town. Rooms: 3 Service: 2 Location: 2
For the price I expected a little more. Check in was 1400hrs, when we arrived at 1350 reception door was locked. Another couple had been waiting for awhile and had been trying to ring the motel but only got the answering machine, It was after 1405 when they finally opened the door. After driving for 5 hrs that was a bit of a pissoff, the location was good and very peaceful, over all our stay wasn't as good as we expected, but it was adequate. A little more care about the little things and presentation would go a long way as well as a bit of general maintenance here and there. Rooms: The rooms were very mediocre, had trouble getting the door open, turned the key, and it wouldn't open, finally with a lot of playing around with the key and handle it opened. The room was very dated but clean enough, A/C had a musty smell that stunk the room out, we had to leave it off and buy air freshener to get rid of the smell. The tap was leaking under the bathroom sink creating a pool of water in the middle of the floor, the mattress was hard and felt cheap but funnily enough I slept well on it. There was no phone in the room for emergencies. There was no actual check out, just dropped the key off in a box outside reception and leave. Walkability: The motel was at the end of the main street and walking distance to shops and servo. Address on the booking was incorrect as it stated the place was at number 501 which it isn't. Food drinks: The restaurant had a limited menu and played Indian music during dinner, being an Aussie country restaurant not an Indian restaurant with every guest in the restaurant Australian one would think English music would have been the order of the day. The food was ok but not startling, I had Beef Curry and rice, the beef was as tough as old boots so couldn't eat it, my wife had Lamb shanks which were great, the staff and owners were very friendly and accommodating,
Rooms need upgrading. Very average. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1
The rooms are very clean, presentable and spacious. However the tiles in the bathroom are incredibly slippery with just the steam from the shower making them dangerous. My wife walked into the bathroom and had a fall causing severe bruising and a lower back injury however there was no one around to report it to as reception was gone and no one around. Additionally and this isn’t really the management’s fault but the people next door smoked like chimneys just outside the rooms and the horrible smell went in everywhere including our room. Make a designated smoking area well away from the rooms please. Rooms: Watch out the bathroom tiles are very slippery with the slightest bit of moisture and are dangerous.
