This is unacceptable service, especially during a crisis. I understand that things may be busy, but this level of service is not acceptable. I am not the only one experiencing this issue, so the restaurant needs to address this and not lose customers.
This bar, now known as the Broadway, is located in the same building as the Metro Inner but has a separate entrance. The ambience may not be ideal with sports screens in the drinking and dining areas, but the food is excellent. During my visit on a Wednesday, I noticed many local diners, including several Asian families. The affordable price of less than eight pounds for popadoms and sauce, vegetable bhuna, and naan was a pleasant surprise. The naan was particularly outstanding, reminiscent of those I've had in India, and the curry was flavorful with fresh paneer. Despite a slight wait for our food due to a busy kitchen, the apologetic and attentive staff made the experience enjoyable. The bar also offers reliable WiFi, allowing me to enjoy a pint of cobra for only £3.50 while catching up on work. Overall, the Broadway serves excellent Asian cuisine at great value.
Located in the Metro Inns Hotel, this restaurant is now named BJ's or Basement Jack's. The establishment features a bar in the basement offering budget-friendly drinks, as well as a restaurant on the ground floor. The updated menu now includes delicious and affordable fresh meals, all priced at less than £10.
