Found this gem in Walterboro while out visiting antique shops. Had Tongue, Tripo (Tripe) and Chorizo tacos. All were delicious and quite authentic. The tacos were overstuffed with meat...so much so that I was able to make another one with a spare tortilla. The rice and beans were the best I have ever had. 100% better than any other restaurant. I am of Spanish descent and I 'll tell you this is just as good as Mom 's cooking. You could tell there was love in everything they serve. Don 't let the hole in the wall vibe scare you away....you won 't regret it.

Absolutely the best Mexican food I've ever had. I had the mole de pollo, the mole sauce was deep rich and superb. I finished every bite. We shared a fresh hot tamale, which was homemade. My husband had a trio of tacos served on homemade tortillas. The refried beans and rice were also delicious. Afterward we picked out some homemade pastries to-take home along with a bag of chilis. We will definitely come back to Walterboro just to eat here.

Google shows open til 9pm everyday. We just drove here and went out of our way to get good food and it is closed. UPDATE YOUR HOURS
