One standout was their homemade ranch dressing, which paired perfectly with the crispy house salad. The black and blue burger was impressively large and juicy, served on a generous bed of mashed potatoes and smothered in delicious mushroom gravy. I've found that interpretations of shrimp and grits can vary significantly. Personally, I prefer my grits to be creamy but not overly liquid. Unfortunately, this dish came swimming in a rich Parmesan cream sauce, but the shrimp were tender and the dish was enhanced by the flavors of scallions, plum tomatoes, and fresh spinach, making it quite enjoyable overall. The portions were generous, leaving us with plenty for lunch the next day.
The food was excellent, and while the service was a bit slow, our server was clearly busy. We truly enjoyed our meal. For dinner, the price per person was around $20–30. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 4. I highly recommend the mashed potatoes!
