Like any fresh fish, I encountered a few bones. Rob, our waiter noticed that I was sitting through my dinner, and asked whether I would like to change the dish, since he would have expected the piece of fish to be easier to manage. I told him that I was fine and enjoying the dinner, and there was no need to replace. Still, a few moments later, the General Manager (Gabby) popped out and informed me that she had removed my item from the bill! I am so impressed by the service... I would say that the service outshines the food, but the food was really good too! I feel a little guilty about having enjoyed a wonderful meal for free, but I will definitely be visiting again, and would recommend the restaurant for anyone that really appreciates quality of produce and deliciousness, and first class service.
Osteria Posto – Waltham, MA – 7/14/2014 Beautifully decorated… Modern… Open and airy… All the elements of a fine steak house in their booths yet lighter in color with beautifully decorated and set tables thruout. These people get it. Not a person walked by my table without a smile and a hello… Ken the GM is a hands-on manager that really makes you feel at home. He clearly lives what he does and it shows. My server Robin was positively delightful! Knows the menu and with passion paints a mental picture of each dish so that you can almost taste it from description. My kind of server! They, like most, bring their bread in from Iggy’s and for good reason… Iggy’s knows bread… Four hearty slices of Italian goodness! Infused Olive Oil and a pat of soft butter… Arugula… Endive, Gorgonzola Picante Honey Thyme Vinaigrette… Beautifully plated and the way they do the Gorgonzola is unlike what you may have had before… Where art meets cuisine! You taste the cheese and then the Picante Honey reminds you that this is not the cheese you picked up at the supermarket… Fabulous! The main this evening… The Whole Branzino… Fennel Frisée Salad, Citrus Vinaigrette, Romesco Sauce… With a side of Foraged Domestic Mushrooms, Shallot, Thyme and Marsala… Nicely plated and flavourful. I would have them bone it for you for convenience but only after serving. It too pretty to not see it prior to honing… The dessert menu was extremely tempting. I just opted for one single scoop of lemon sorbet and my signature cappuccino! Another great dinner. Whether you come solo or with an entourage, there's certainly something here for even the most discerning palate…
My colleague and I had an absolutely fabulous experience at Osteria Posto. The food is delectable, service is beyond attentive and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is chic and divine in more ways than one. The ambiance and private function spaces are alluring and incredibly appealing, not to mention the opening of the outdoor patio space soon. Bridget and Shannon are a true delight to work with. Not only are they knowledgeable about the menu and space, but they truly go above and beyond to be attentive and available to clients in scheduling events, mapping out costs/packages, and are incredibly personable. They have an extensive wine list, and make their pasta and ice cream in-house. I would highly recommend their white sangria. Additionally, their bruschetta is an item that absolutely cannot be missed! It's a must-have, with its sweet whole tomatoes, delicately glazed in balsamic, smooth and creamy goat cheese, and a little kick of spice at the end. Quality ingredients are so important in a restaurant of this scale, and they absolutely nail it. I know, for sure, that it will be a perfect rehearsal dinner space for my clients, as I am a wedding an event planner. I am beyond thrilled and enthusiastic about this up-and-coming, stunning space!
Early Valentine's Day celebration did not disappoint. The atmosphere is quite a refreshing change to the latest noisy trends of today's restaurants. The seafood chowder was tremendous and the shrimp cocktail was quite fresh. The cocktails were a nice start and their modest yet impressive wine list made for choice selection...I suggest the Tuscan Syrah. The olive and bread course a nice selection....the desert was tremendous as well (there is always room for desert) especially if you take half the chowder home for lunch. We will be frequenting this newly found gem! Michael and Hugo were the consummate hosts...
I went to my niece’s wedding there last night...food was incredible...loved the raw bar of oysters, shrimp cocktail, and cracked lobster tails immediately following the service. Then the presentation of the Italian course was so tasty and beautiful. Cocktails and service were top notch. We can’t wait to go back for dinner sometime soon!
